Appellant, Illinois Central Railroad Company (the railroad), has appealed from judgments entered against it in the District Court on verdicts in favor of plaintiffs in the amounts of $25,000 and $2,350, in an action for damages for the wrongful death of plaintiffs wife, for her funeral expenses, and for damages to the automobile which she was driving, the action arising out of a collision with defendants freight train at a grade crossing.
